Each person takes care of the maximum level of protection of his life, health and valuable property. For this reason, the confidence in travel without insurance policies is impossible to imagine.

In Russia, policies are offered, provided in one of two formats of cooperation:

    • mandatory;
    • voluntary.

What is the difference between them? Why compulsory insurance causes a lot of negative feedback and is considered a common obligation. Compulsory car insurance is established by law for every citizen who drives a car. Such a policy comes into force in the event of an accident.

For example, if the driver was found to be guilty and did not manage to control his car, the payment for the restoration of someone else's vehicle will be carried out with the help of the insurer. This type of offers becomes mandatory for every car enthusiast, since otherwise it becomes illegal to operate the car. Driving without a compulsory driver's insurance policy can lead to fines and even disqualification.

Many motorists believe that compulsory insurance is becoming an imposed and unnecessary service. However, the opinion changes dramatically if the accident injured drivers who previously had a negative attitude to the proposal from government agencies. An accident always proves the need for an insurance policy to successfully resolve any conflict issues related to finance.

Voluntary insurance guarantees maximum protection for any vehicle. Compulsory compensation for damage caused is provided, regardless of the circumstances. Thus, the policy is valid not only for events related to road accidents. Voluntary insurance is issued only at the personal request of the driver.

If there is confidence in safety, you can refuse the policy. Without voluntary insurance, any travel is at personal risk. It is important to remember: the number of cars in cities increases every year, as a result of which accidents are happening more often. If a car enthusiast is willing to pay for the repair and restoration of the car out of his pocket, he has the right to refuse the offer.

Experienced car enthusiasts are confident that both types of insurance coverage are important. Even experienced drivers cannot guarantee the maximum level of protection of the car from theft, deliberate hooliganism, natural disasters. Moreover, they try to understand how to make electronic insurance for a car and guarantee a high level of protection against any unwanted situations.

To resolve insurance issues related to the vehicle, you should proceed in stages. It is imperative to choose the appropriate type of document and take care of cooperation with a legal company.

Modern technologies allow you to buy an insurance policy at home. To do this, you need to go to the official website of the insurer, select the design on the Internet and fulfill all further requirements. In some cases, motorists buy an insurance policy with delivery to their address, and in other cases, they order an electronic document.

Choosing an insurance company

The situation in the current market must be understandable for the motorist. Only in this case it is possible to guarantee the protection of the vehicle against any risks. The lack of economic stability leads to a particularly high level of competition among insurers.

The main task at the first stage is to choose a reliable and solvent organization that is actually trustworthy. Of course, the cost of services is important, but the primary importance is the reputation and position of the firm in the current market. The quality and volume of compensation in unfavorable situations should not suffer from the cheapness of services.

When choosing an insurance company, it is recommended to consider the following aspects:

  • availability of a license to conduct business;
  • accumulated experience;
  • reputation;
  • the size of the authorized capital;
  • the level of insurance payments for the last couple of years and the current year;
  • reliability rating;
  • discounts and promotions.

In many situations, motorists try to be guided by the territorial principle. This approach turns out to be wrong. Only cooperation with a reliable organization has the right to guarantee a high level of property protection and the ability to receive funds under adverse circumstances.

Features of calculating the cost of an insurance policy

The calculation of insurance services can be done independently, but usually there are various errors and shortcomings. Only specialists can correctly take into account all aspects that affect the price of the received policy. In addition, insurance companies have a special approach to calculating voluntary insurance. General principles apply only for OSAGO.

The easiest way to find out the approximate cost of an insurance policy is to use a specialized resource. To do this, you need to do the following:

  • filling out a form with the obligatory indication of all information;
  • using a calculator to calculate the price of an insurance policy and further analyze the services of insurers;
  • evaluation of the results by the user of the service and the choice of the best option.

This approach will allow you to quickly navigate all the services of insurers to purchase the original policy. In addition, at least minimal savings are guaranteed.

Collecting documents and filling out an application

An obligatory stage is the collection of a package of documents for the further receipt of an insurance policy. Even if the document is drawn up on the Internet, the documents will still be required.

Standard list of documents:

  • valid civil passport;
  • technical passport for the car;
  • a certificate confirming the registration of the vehicle;
  • driver's license;
  • a diagnostic card confirming the passage of the technical inspection and the good condition of the machine.

Further package of documents is determined on an individual basis. Sometimes a statement from the policyholder is required.

Payment for the insurance package

The next stage is the mandatory payment of the insurance package. To do this, companies use different methods:

  • cash;
  • bank transfers;
  • transfers to an electronic wallet.

Regardless of the payment method used, a receipt is required. Even if a policy is purchased on the Internet, a confirmation file will be sent to the mail.

Getting insurance

The next step is getting insurance. Genuine policies are always printed on special forms with several degrees of protection. Electronic documents provide for entering information into the database of the Russian Union of Automobile Insurers.

Getting insurance policies is a must. Giving up protection in order to save your personal budget is not the right approach.

  • It is allowed to install additional protective equipment on the car. In this case, the insurer will understand the desire to preserve personal property and prevent an insured event. There is an opportunity to reduce not only the risk of theft and road accidents, but also to get a discount on insurance. To do this, high-quality seasonal tires, anti-theft systems, and a video recorder are installed on the car.
  • You should order only the required package of services. It is best to refuse services that will not be in demand. For example, you can do without evacuating the car injured in an accident, calling the commissioner. Savings will be noted immediately.
  • Careful driving guarantees savings even on compulsory motor third party liability insurance. The maximum discount is 50% for 10 years. Every year without an accident, he gives a 5 percent discount.
  • Participation in loyalty programs and promotions. The high level of competition leads to the fact that many companies are trying to reduce prices for their proposals. Regular customers have the right to use loyalty programs. The most important thing is to properly track all offers. In addition, you can choose complex offers that are cheaper.
  • Insurance via the Internet allows you to save 20 - 25% of the policy amount. If you work directly with agents, the money will have to be paid as payment for services. Obtaining an insurance policy via the Internet provides for the refusal to pay for intermediary services.

Insurance is a must-have for every motorist. Only in this case can one count on a high level of protection of interests and the elimination of unnecessary risks. Cooperation with a reliable insurer allows you to make sure of the maximum benefit.

Having got into an accident as an injured party, it is far from always possible to receive full compensation for damage under the CTP policy of the culprit, and he may not have DOSAGO, then you will have to recover compensation through the court. This is an unpleasant and very troublesome matter, not to mention the fact that the culprit may be poor, which will lead to delaying payments for months or even years.

According to the law, each vehicle owner must insure his civil liability by taking out an OSAGO insurance. This must be done immediately after purchasing the car. Moreover, the absence of this policy is the basis for refusal to register the vehicle with the traffic police.

Compulsory vehicle insurance

Compulsory motor third party liability insurance has been in force in Russia since 2003. Every year, all road users are required to purchase an insurance policy. There are a large number of insurers in Russia who are ready to provide OSAGO insurance, each of them has its own price. The insurance itself is just civil liability insurance. Many drivers do not approve of it, but consider it simply siphoning off money.

But this is not the case. Those who have ever sued the perpetrators of accidents, restore the car at their own expense and wait until the insolvent citizen once returns the money, are on the side of the state. OSAGO allows the victim to hope that he will still receive, albeit not large, compensation from the insurance company. In short, compulsory car insurance is the correct and deliberate decision of our government.

The object of insurance for OSAGO is not a vehicle, but the civil liability of the driver. In other words, in the event of an accident, the damage caused by the accident is subject to compensation at the expense of the insurance company, in which the civil liability of the guilty party is insured.

Rosgosstrakh is the largest insurance company where you can get insurance of the most favorable type for you. According to statistics, more than a third of OSAGO policies were issued by this insurer during the last reporting period. In addition to OSAGO, Rosgosstrakh offers the following types of programs:

  1. Casco. With Casco you get a guarantee to cover the costs associated not only with damage to your car as a result of an accident, but also with theft of the vehicle;
  2. Anti-crisis Casco. A relatively new program that combines favorable insurance conditions and a loyal price;
  3. Green map. The presence of this policy makes your road trips abroad safer.

A clear advantage and difference between Casco and Osago is the wider range of costs covered. So, Casco assumes insurance of such risks as damage to the vehicle in an accident, theft, theft, fire, etc.

The advantages of this type include:

  1. the amount paid out corresponds to the market value of the car;
  2. Casco payments are made immediately after the occurrence of the insured event;
  3. depreciation of vehicle wear is compensated;
  4. the cost of the policy is relatively low;
  5. the insurer undertakes to compensate for the car transportation services after an accident;
  6. the sum insured fully covers the costs incurred during the refurbishment.

Recently, the number of accidents on the road, as a result of which the participants suffer material losses, is becoming more and more than, by and large, and the insurer's desire to reduce the amount of payment by any means or refuse to pay it completely is justified.

What needs to be done in order not to lose compensation and achieve full repayment of the damages caused?

Recommendations of auto lawyers:

  • you should contact the insurance company immediately after the accident. Also, do not hesitate to conduct an independent examination, on the basis of which compensation will be paid;
  • when compensation is paid under OSAGO, depreciation funds are deducted, the amount of which is about 16% for each year. For example, in the event of damage to a 3-year-old car, 48% must be subtracted from the amount of actual damage (16 * 3). Given this fact, one should not count on full coverage of the costs of the OSAGO. Experienced motorists prefer, in addition to OSAGO, to issue an additional policy;
  • if the insurer has ordered his research, the results of which do not correspond to the report of your independent expert, do not despair. You can prove your case by appealing an unreliable document in court.

Compensation for damage depends not only on the type of insurance chosen, but also on the company with which the contract was concluded, therefore, before issuing a policy, it is necessary to study in detail the conditions and procedure for performing the actions specified in the contract, as well as familiarize yourself with customer reviews. Information of this kind can be found on the official website of the company.

OSAGO is a state measure of a voluntary-compulsory order, which has managed to become a pure formality and rather makes life easier for the owner of the car. In the event of an accident, it is the insurance company that will take upon itself the solution of all problems.

With OSAGO insurance, if you drove into you - you will receive money, you drove into someone else - you will not receive anything, but you will not pay yourself either.

The victim in an accident must contact your insurance company and it is she who will reimburse all costs, having previously estimated the amount of damage caused to the car. You repair your car at your own expense.

As mentioned earlier, OSAGO is not compulsory car insurance, but liability insurance of the vehicle owner for causing harm to the life, health or property of the victims when using the vehicle on the territory of the Russian Federation.

To the delight of motorists, from October 1, 2014, regardless of the number of victims of an accident, each of them will be able to receive up to 400 rubles, since the limit of payments for damage has been increased, which previously amounted to 000 rubles.

From January 1, 2015 - the creation of a unified, automated, information system, which contains the insurance history of each client of the insurance company for Casco and DSAGO;

From April 1, 2015:

  1. Payments in case of injuries to victims will be carried out according to a special table;
  2. Increase in the limit of payments for life and health to each victim from 000 to 500 000 rubles;
  3. The procedure for confirming the fact of harm to health in an accident is simplified;
  4. The procedure for receiving payments for OSAGO is simplified;
  5. In the event of the death of the victim, the list of beneficiaries is expanded.

Also about DSAGO (voluntary motor third party liability insurance), which at the moment is justly considered only as a "pleasant addition" to OSAGO. With the DSAGO policy, the payment limit will be increased to several million rubles for each insured event, and yet, this is civil liability insurance, not a car.

Undoubtedly, you can consecrate the car, hang magic amulets on it, but we have tried to enlighten you in a more traditional direction, making a choice, of course, for you.

Why do you need car insurance

Vehicle insurance is included in the list of conditions, the fulfillment of which is considered the responsibility of each car owner. The presence of the policy guarantees the protection of the interests of the owner of the car in the event of unforeseen circumstances, for example, an accident. More broadly, insurance is a guarantee that a person will not incur any losses in the event of an accident or other incident.

Insurance of vehicles is carried out by firms that have a license and permission for this type of activity. The process of issuing a policy, whether it is a mandatory form or a voluntary option, is carried out subject to a number of criteria. At the same time, insurance companies are constantly expanding the list of offers for car owners in order to create the most favorable conditions for customers.

Types of car insurance

In the first case, insurance is compulsory and applies to all car owners, without exception.

Voluntary types of insurance are not compulsory, and the contract is concluded only with the consent of the vehicle owner. Another feature of this category is a wider list of options and situations that are subject to insurance.

In order to figure out which version of the policy is suitable for a particular citizen, you will need to study in as much detail as possible all the features and conditions of registration of each type of car insurance.

MTPL policy is a compulsory type of insurance, which is the only one in this category. According to the law, the need to conclude an insurance contract applies to all vehicle owners.

In the absence of a policy, the owner of the car will not be able to drive the car, put it on record, or hand it over for inspection.

Ignoring the norms of the legislation is fraught with a fine and the elimination of rights, and often the evacuation of the vehicle to a parking fine.

In other words, the compensation payment to the injured party is paid not by the owner of the policy, but by the insurance company from which it was received.

In this case, compensation for harm is provided both in a situation of damage to property and in the event of damage to the health of third parties. In this case, the owner of the insurance does not have any rights to payment.

As for the amount of compensation, it is calculated based on the damage caused. Moreover, in case of damage to property, the amount is limited to 400.000 rubles, and in case of harm to health or life - 500.000 rubles per victim. If the amount of damage caused goes beyond the established limits, the difference is paid by the perpetrator of the accident.

The cost of the OSAGO policy is fixed by federal rates, which does not give insurance companies the right to increase it. In general, the size depends on the power of the vehicle, the age and experience of the driver, the period of validity, the region of the conclusion of the contract. The average price of a policy is about 12000 rubles.

One of the most popular types of non-compulsory insurance is considered to be DSAGO - voluntary insurance of the car owner's liability for causing harm to a third party in the event of an accident, while significantly expanding the possibilities of a compulsory policy.

An additional opportunity here is an increase in the scope of compensation payments, which is very important in light of the increasing popularity of expensive cars. Payment under DSAGO is carried out only if the limit on the compulsory insurance policy cannot cover the amount of damage caused.

Registration of the document is possible only with the consent of the owner of the car and in the presence of a valid OSAGO. In this case, both policies will be valid for the same period of time.

The cost of insurance is set by each company independently, but on average it does not exceed 4000 rubles. As for the payment limit, it ranges from 300.000 rubles to 30 million rubles.

CASCO policy is another option for voluntary insurance, called complex insurance. In this case, the car is insured directly and in the event of any circumstances, the policy fully covers all the damage received. In this case, it does not matter at all whether the owner of the car was the culprit or a third party.

  • Accident;
  • disaster;
  • fire;
  • explosion.
  • The basic vehicle insurance rate for a legal entity is higher than for an individual.
  • Types of insurance policies In addition to compulsory motor third party liability insurance, the car owner can conclude various options for voluntary types of insurance: CASCO (comprehensive car insurance) and DSAGO (voluntary civil liability insurance of vehicle owners). The most important task of the DSAGO policy is to increase the limit of liability for a traffic accident that happened through your fault. If you get into a serious accident involving an expensive car, then the amount of the CMTPL payment is clearly not enough to compensate for the damage to the injured party. The DSAGO policy allows you to increase the compensation limit to 1-3 million rubles, while the cost of the policy itself is very low - 1-5 thousand rubles.

Rules of conduct in the event of an accident

If you are involved in an accident, you need to follow the rules of the road.

  • First: turn on the alarm, if present and working.
  • Secondly: put up an emergency sign (in a built-up area 15 m, behind a populated area - 30 m, if there is a turn, the sign must be installed in front of it). The most important thing to do is to provide first aid to the injured (if any) and call an ambulance. Until the arrival of the traffic police, you need to stay in place. Vehicles cannot be moved.

Package of documents

The list of documents that will need to be collected to obtain a policy:

  • application;
  • passport;
  • driver's license. If the vehicle will be driven not only by its owner, but also by other persons, their driver's licenses must also be provided;
  • car registration certificate;
  • diagnostic card (technical inspection).

In addition to the standard package of documents, additional materials may be required.
These include:

  • certificate of registration of a legal entity (for legal entities);
  • title documents for the car (if the policyholder is not the owner of the vehicle). It can be a lease, lease, or pledge agreement. The submitted document must contain information on whether the policyholder has the right to insure a car;
  • previous insurance;
  • information regarding the availability of anti-theft devices, their names, models, specifications;
  • set of car keys.

Travel Accident Insurance

Getting insurance

Many people wonder if car insurance is compulsory. But if an accident happens to you, and you do not have a valid policy, the victim will have to pay for the damage out of his own pocket. Therefore, there is OSAGO. In the event of an insured event, there are three options for how you can register the accident:

  1. Europrotocol. Used for minor accidents. In this case, you do not need to call the traffic police, the participants in the incident make out everything on their own. You can use the European protocol only if both car owners have valid policies and no people were injured in the accident.
  2. Direct settlement (direct damages). It exists relatively recently, it allows the victim to apply for compensation directly to his insurer, and not to look for the insurance company responsible for the accident.
  3. Standard procedure. It is used in major accidents in which people or several car owners were injured.

Insured event - a case upon the occurrence of which the insurance company is obliged to pay compensation.

Under an OSAGO insurance contract, an insured event is damage to another vehicle or the health and life of a third party. There can be a lot of insured events.

Such cases include the following:

  • deliberate harm;
  • driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • the culprit fled the scene;
  • the presence of an OSAGO policy, the validity of which has expired;
  • the culprit of the accident is not indicated in the OSAGO policy;
  • incorrect filling of the policy, etc.

In all of the above cases, the insurance company will refuse to pay compensation.

To receive compensation, you must submit a corresponding application to the insurance company. At the same time, the legislation provides for 2 ways to obtain compensation.

In particular, compensation can be obtained from the insurance company that insured the victim. In this case, the culprit of the STP must accept his guilt, and the damage caused to the vehicle must be insignificant.

To receive compensation in this way, the participants in the accident must sign an agreement regarding the amount of damage caused. Consideration of the application takes on average 5-7 working days, after which the victim receives the amount of compensation. If he does not agree with her, then the actions of the insurance company can be challenged in court.

The insurance most often includes search and rescue operations, evacuation from the accident site, transportation home, medical expenses abroad, travel restrictions and related expenses. Often this insurance and travel health insurance are combined into one.
The CTP policy is a mandatory document that every car owner must have with him.

In the absence of compulsory insurance, the vehicle owner may face a fine. For a positive technical inspection and registration of the car with the traffic police, you cannot do without an OSAGO policy. The cost of a CTP policy can vary significantly.

What affects the cost of the policy

Calculation of payments for OSAGO "Sogaz", "Reso", "Rosgosstrakh" is mainly carried out using an online calculator. To perform the operation, you must enter the necessary data in the calculation form.

The cost of insurance depends on the following factors:

  • the territory within which the vehicle will be used;
  • driving experience;
  • driving experience;
  • age of the car. The older the vehicle, the higher the insurance interest rate. For example, a Casco policy required to insure a new vehicle will cost no more than 6% of the cost of a car. If the car is 5 years old, more than 8% will have to pay for the insurance. It will take about 8% to insure an 10-year-old car;
  • power and volume of the vehicle engine;
  • vehicle category;
  • the presence of a trailer;
  • whether insurance payments were made earlier;
  • the cost of the car. The more expensive the vehicle, the lower the interest rate. For example, if the price of the vehicle ranges from 300 to 500 thousand rubles, the policy interest rate will be 10%, if from 3 to 5 million rubles - 5%;
  • insurance period;
  • the age of the car;
  • the cost of the vehicle;
  • type of insured event.

If the age of the vehicle is more than 7 years old, it is problematic to find an insured company, while the cost of the policy will be much higher than that of a car with an age of 2-3 years.

The cost of insurance for expensive car brands is very high and not all companies provide insurance for them.

Theft and theft are classified by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in different articles, and they are also classified by the insured as different risks, which entails a different cost of policies.

Before concluding a contract, be sure to carefully read all of its points so that there are no ambiguities. Particular attention should be paid to the points in the agreement on the actions of the car owner in the event of an insured event:

  • what to do if it is not possible to call the emergency commissioner within 15 minutes;
  • what are the requirements for fixing damage to a car;
  • how many days the accident certificates are submitted to the insurance company, since sometimes it takes more than a week to receive them from government agencies.

CASCO insurance guarantees confidence in everything that happens to the vehicle, and in all accidents, a policy purchased in advance will negate unnecessary costs, even if the owner deliberately became the culprit. The car owner is only required to take the time to familiarize himself with agencies, insured events, service packages and make his own version at a favorable cost.

Let's talk about the cost of insurance services. Each insurer has its own approach to pricing, but the basic rules for setting tariffs in all companies are approximately the same.

Both the individual characteristics of the client and the parameters of the insurance policy that he purchases are important.

Let's consider the most important factors in terms of cost.

Factor 1.

Age and gender of the policyholder

The older the client, the more expensive the services will cost him. The minimum tariffs are provided for young people who do not have chronic diseases and bad habits. There are special insurance programs for clients of children.

Men always pay more for health and life insurance policies. This is due to the increased risks faced by the male population at work and at home.

Factor 2.

Insured's occupation

There is a list of professions whose representatives pay higher rates. These are employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and law enforcement agencies, stuntmen, testers, workers in hazardous industries, doctors working in infectious diseases departments.

Factor 3. Duration of the insurance contract

The longer the term of the contract, the more expensive the policy. This is quite logical - time increases the likelihood of an insurance situation. Life insurance is the most expensive, but this type of contract is quite rare.

Factor 4.

Insurance premiums
There are contracts in which the insured amount is determined by the policyholder himself. However, the higher the potential payments, the more you will have to pay for the insurance premium. The client's task is to find the optimal balance between these two indicators.

Factor 5.

Statistics and life tables Each region has its own ecological and economic conditions. Life expectancy, predisposition to certain diseases, and other indicators important for insurers depend on these factors.

Regional branches of insurance companies must be guided by statistics, tables of morbidity and mortality and other data.

Amount and terms of payment for OSAGO

Today in Russia there are two more versions of the law on the payment of the OSAGO policy. The first one - before 01.10.2014/01.10.2014/XNUMX, the second - after XNUMX/XNUMX/XNUMX.

Edition before 01.10.2014:

  • A person was injured or killed - compensation will be 160 thousand rubles.
  • The property of one person suffered - 120 thousand rubles.
  • The property of several people suffered - 160 thousand rubles.

Edition after 01.10.2014:

  • A person suffered - 160 thousand rubles each.
  • Property suffered - 400 thousand rubles each.

In both the first and second editions, if the amount of compensation is insufficient, the injured party has the right to go to court and demand the rest of the money from the person responsible for the accident.

In order for the compensation to be paid quickly, it is necessary to collect all the necessary documents, in the shortest possible lines to contact the insurance company, where to write a statement about the occurrence of an insured event. After that, the company is obliged to make the payment no later than 20 calendar days. Then you just need to wait. The insurance company will either pay you the amount you need, or refuse to pay you.

If there is no response after twenty days of the line, a penalty of 1% will be imposed for each day of delay in payment. There are times when the insurer pays a smaller amount to the victim, but do not be discouraged, you need to write a statement about the situation to the insurance company and wait for a response within 10 days. In an extreme situation, you can sue.

The purpose of the OSAGO system is to resolve the issues of compensation for harm that may arise from an accident. At the same time, monetary compensation should cover not only property damage, for example, the cost of repairing a vehicle, but also harm caused to the life and health of citizens if they were injured in an accident. At the same time, the legislator strictly limits the maximum amount of compensation. For more information, see the article "MTPL payments".

On the forums of motorists, they often discuss which insurance risks are covered by the OSAGO policy. Consider, including at first glance, controversial situations. For example, an accident with a stolen vehicle. Many owners are convinced that if a car gets into an accident under the control of a car thief, the damage caused to the injured party can be compensated for through insurance compensation. However, the opinion that when a car is stolen, MTPL insurance is paid out, is erroneous. The insurance company will refuse compensation and will be right.

Indeed, according to the law, the object of car insurance is property interests, associated with the risk of liability of the owner of the car. The owner is not only the owner, but also any person at whose disposal and use the car is legally: under a contract, power of attorney, due to official duties. It is obvious that the hijacker is acting illegally, therefore, compensation under the MTPL in case of car theft is not entitled to either the owner or the victim in an accident.

But you can still protect yourself from the material waste associated with theft. For this, a special version of CASCO insurance was developed. More about the conditions for registration and use of CASCO from theft and complete loss of a car.

For individuals and legal entities

The owner of a car can be not only an individual, but also an organization. The obligation to insure liability for OSAGO must be fulfilled regardless of who owns the car. However, in the registration of a policy for a legal entity there are features that determine its cost, validity period, compensation limits, a package of documents for conclusion. You can read detailed material on this topic in the article "Compulsory motor third party liability insurance for legal entities".

Types of insurance policies

OSAGO is not the only insurance contract that protects the rights of the car owner in the event of an accident. One of the weak points of the OSAGO system, according to many experts, is the relatively small limits of compensation. If an accident occurs with the infliction of serious injuries to the injured or with the participation of expensive car brands, payments for MTPL will not cover the amount of damage.

This gap is eliminated by the car owner's voluntary liability insurance contract - DSAGO. It increases the limit of compensation for damage in case of road accidents. For more information about the conditions of this type of insurance, the procedure for registration, the amount of payments and other important issues, see the publication "Extended MTPL insurance".

As mentioned above, the legislation provides for a certain amount of payments. In particular, if the damage was caused to the vehicle, then the maximum amount of the payment is 400 rubles.

Previously, the legislation established the maximum amount of payment also for those cases when several vehicles or several individuals were injured as a result of an accident.

Today, the legislation states that the insurance company must pay up to 400 rubles for each vehicle and up to 000 for each injured individual.

From the above, we can conclude that the legislation carefully regulates the procedure and procedure for issuing an OSAGO policy.

At the same time, vehicle owners are endowed with the opportunity to choose the most convenient option for OSAGO insurance, since there are several different types of insurance policies. But insurance is a must.

At the same time, a person may be held liable for failure to comply with mandatory legal requirements. That is why the insurance procedure must be taken very seriously.

Refusal of compensation

Since there is a law on OSAGO in our country, it is in it that the reasons for the insurer's refusal to pay under the policy are indicated. There are two reasons why you may not be refunded:

  1. Violation of the procedure, when the car owner independently destroyed the traces of the accident.
  2. Not an insured event, when the culprit could not be identified in the accident, the accident was done on purpose or both drivers are to blame, etc.

We can say with confidence if the insurance company doubts your correctness, or you cannot provide a vehicle for inspection, then you will not see payments.

There are many accidents every day in Russia, some minor and some quite large. They cannot be avoided, but compulsory insurance allows at least to reduce risks and guarantees payment of compensation to the victim.

Let's talk about how to save money on insurance services. We have already mentioned that it is cheaper to insure via the Internet. There are other options to reduce the cost of your policy.

Tip 1. Participate in promotions of insurance companies

Competition in the insurance market is constantly growing - the marketing activities of companies are becoming more diverse. Each insurer periodically arranges events, the purpose of which is to attract new customers with profitable offers. If you track such promotions on the company's website and participate in them, you can save on insurance from 5 to 50%.

Tip 2. Choose blended insurance

It's like discounts when buying a wholesale lot. The more insurance programs you choose, the cheaper they will cost you. If you buy a life and health insurance policy and, for example, an OSAGO package in one company, you can save 5-25%, or even more.

Tip 3. Make a choice in favor of corporate programs
Corporate programs are always cheaper, since they are issued immediately for a large team. If there is an opportunity to participate in group insurance at your place of work, it would be a sin not to take advantage of such an offer.
